Many times people don't really get what is meant by this. I'm not referring to writing like a professor and using fancy dialogue. The writing within your means that I am talking about has to do with your budget. This film training article is to help you keep your script within the budget that you have available.
It's very easy to get carried away by your vision of what you want you movie to be like. Beginning filmmakers find it easy to visualize the big picture, but the trouble comes when its time to convert it down to the details.
Let's talk about your script. Here's an example of a simple line in a script:
"The Firemen arrived at the scene."
Ok, that doesn't really sound that complicated. But, stop and think about it for a minute. What does this mean to you?
First off, it means there needs to be a fire truck. Does your budget allow for you to get one? If the answer is no, then what are the firemen supposed to arrive in? Maybe a delivery truck? Oh, wait, that's expensive too.
Then there are the firemen. Does your budget extend to hiring a lot of firemen? How about their uniforms? Also, how big is the fire? I'm not going to go into how much it might cost to create the fire. Then you have to think about the equiment that's needed to fight the fire. This whole scene is enough to create major havoc with your budget.
Now, imagine if your script read like this instead:
"The army arrived at the scene."
Just picture it - tanks, armored cars and jeeps, soldiers and their weapons, uniforms, etc. You get the idea, I'm sure.
It only takes one line in the script to blow your whole budget. It will take some planning from you not to veer off into an Avatar adventure or other special effects productions. You don't want to end up with a movie you can't possible make.
I mean, that's fine if you have an unlimited budget, but let's face it, that's not usually the case when starting out. The effects don't have to be elaborate to tell a good story.
Movie making is an adventure as well as a learning experience. Some people shell out the dough and go to film school, which let's face it, is quite expensive. Other people prefer to learn as they go.

There are different choices when it comes to televisions these days. The days of just worrying about the size of the TV are gone. I know that it used to be much simpler, about the only hard choice was deciding whether or not you wanted a big screen or a little screen TV.
Well, maybe you had to decide if you wanted a console that sat on the floor in a cabinet or if you had a little table or stand to put it on. Oh, and you got to decide if you wanted a remote control or not. Those were about the only choices you had. One more, you could also decide whether or not you wanted a color TV or black and white. Does anyone under the age of twenty-five even remember what a black and white TV looked like? I used to play my Nintendo on a 9 inch black and white. Those were the days, there is nothing like watching a black and white Mario running across the screen.
Considering all of the technological advances in TVs over the past decade alone, it is no wonder that consumers are faced with more decisions then ever. You can still choose to get a TV that uses a tube, like the older TVs did, or you can choose a projection TV, which is also an older technology, compared to the newer TVs available. Then there are the new HDTVs, which use three different types of technology, LCD, plasma, and digital light with mirrors. All three types offer great picutre quality, and all have their own pros and cons.
LCD TVs, are the most popular type of HDTV sold in America today. The LCD technology is the same as what you would find in a laptop screen, or on a hand held game. The LCD TVs offer the best quality for the best price, which is a major factor as to why they are so popular. The resolution and colors on a plasma HDTV are excellent, and maybe a little better then an LCD, but they are typically more expensive then an LCD. The DLP HDTVs are deeper then the other two options, and take up more room, but they offer an excellent picutre quality, especially for high definition shows and movies.
No matter how much has changed when it comes to TVs, there is still always the question of size. The size of the screen should really depend on the size of the room the TV will be in, and how close the viewers will be to the TV. Many HDTVs are also wall mounted, so you should consider which wall you would want to put the TV on when thinking about the size of the TV. ABC guys embarked upon the idea of Lost Untangled only after they realized how tough it was getting for them to keep thread of the show and to prevent it from getting entangled which would have surely left the fans in a state of delirium. Lost untangled helps to prevent that in a rather interesting way. After every episode, a lost untangled clip depicting the happenings that happened on the last episode is shown just before the telecast of a new episode in the next season.
At the end of a season finale, a lost untangled clip portraying the major happenings in that particular season is telecast by the producers. These clips help the viewers to logically connect with the show and also check out what they must have missed while watching the original telecast or if they missed watching it altogether, which rather is a rarity.
In a way it provides a ready reckoned for all the events that happened on the Lost, including those of lost season one and lost season two. Like or dislike love stories, this one is sure to quake you off your feet. The music of I Hate Luv Storys is fresh and is love personified. We know the title is sounds so anti love but trust me the album aint! The album is very buoyant and the love quotient is soaring in every song. It’s a citified album which has all the urban culture in all songs and Vishal Shekhar the musical duo of the film has left no stones unturned to the youth culture of today. The music is peppy, new, fresh, pro-love, optimistic and romantic of course. I Hate Luv Storys stars Sonam Kapoor and Imran Khan I the lead. With this movie debutante director Punit Malhotra makes his debut in Bollywood. The movie is produced by Karan Johar, Vishal Shekhar is the music duo of I Hate Luv Storys.

The lyrics are penned down by Anvita Dutt Guptan. Vishal has sung the song in the way he sang Jaane Kyun from Dostana. The song has got the same upshot and so archetypal Vishal. Vishal’s singing career has surely take off and is gaining prominence in Bollywood.
Subsequently is "Bin tere", which is arguably the most soothing poignant track in the album. It commences with English lyrics, followed by Hindi lyrics. Eminent Pakistani singer Shafqat Amanat Ali' has voiced for the song. This beautiful rendition turns it into a soulful and melodious number. The song is really easy on ear and mellow. Even Sunidhi Chauhan plays a cameo in the end. This one is sure to make hoopla. "Bin tere" has two more versions, a remixed version, which has a fast tempo and is a bit groovy, a discotheque version. The other is a reprised version by Shekhar Ravijiani.
Third is the title track from the movie I Hate Luv Storys crooned by Vishal Dadlani. This one’s off the hook. A pacey one with usage of hinglish is sure to gain prominence within the young masses.
Well, till this point it was the guys who were crooning all the tracks. But, the next track “Bahara” will leave you stunned. It’s the girl power in the album crooning this one. The team of Sona Mohapatra and Shreya Ghoshal has crooned this folk and contemporary mixed fusion track. This one is a beautiful rendition. This too has another version called Chill, which is sung by Rahat Fateh Ali Khan. Rahat Fateh Ali Khan has a great voice and his voice does justice to the song as he croons it so melodiously that you will have a hard time figuring out which one is better, the chill version or the female version.
Finally, there is "Sadka", which is again a love ballad by Suraj Jagan and Mahalakshmi Iyer. This is purely a harmonious love song in the album.
On an whole I Hate Luv Storys takes Bollywood to old school romance as it brings some serious romance to the plate. Bollywood hasn’t seen much of a romance in near past quiet like this one. Hope IHLS like its music does well in the box office. The music has surely taken off well and is all thumps up!!!

In 1985, Michael Jackson acquired ATV Music Publishing catalog, which held most of the Beatles songs, and ten years later negotiated an offer of $90 million dollars and half interest in Sony Music Publishing in exchange for half interest in the ATV catalog. With the merger, Jackson became half owner in the third largest music publishing company in the world, renamed Sony/ATV Music Publishing.
The president and CEO of Sony Corp. welcomed the merger and praised Jackson for his efforts in the venture. Early on however, Sony showed signs of wanting the entire catalog and began pushing to buy all of Jackson's share in the song publishing company. Jackson maintained that he would never sell the Beatles catalog.
In 2002, his CD Invincible had gotten off to the fastest start of any of his albums, including Thriller, in reaching $5 million in sales. It only needed to earn $2 million more to break even, and the singer stood to have another huge successful CD. Sony was seeking to create a need for Jackson to sell the Beatles catalog and began to defund support for Invincible and various other projects. Jackson's charity single, What More Can I Give, a fund raiser for families of 9-11 victims, was not promoted at all.
Also, Jackson was waiting for the licenses to the masters of his albums to revert to him; this would allow him to promote his old material how he liked, and prevent Sony from getting a cut of the profit. But in early 2000, he learned that due to the fine print and various clauses in the contract, the date his licenses were to revert to him proved to be many years away.
The singer began an investigation and discovered that his attorney in the deal, John Branca, was also representing Sony. Jackson further learned that Branca had embezzled money from him and put it in an off-shore account. Michael Jackson sued in 2003 to get out of his contract with Branca.
When Jackson later refinanced his debt with the Fortress investment group in 2007, Sony corp. helped facilitate the deal. In return, Sony secured the right to purchase half of Jackson's share in Sony/ATV at a predetermined price, leaving him with just 25% of the company -- Sony also would become managing partner. And if Jackson's career or financial situation were to deteriorate further, Sony had obtained the right to match any future offer on the pop star's remaining 25% stake.
Sony also showed interest in MiJac, holder of Jackson's old tunes, and obtained the right of first look at purchasing the singer's own catalog. Before the pop star acquired the Beatles catalog, he had been buying up rights to his earlier songs for his MiJac label, which had not been a part of the Sony deal. Over the last 3 decades, Jackson had been collecting material he produced with many other chart-topping artists he intended to use for future projects.
Upon his death, Katherine Jackson, his mother filed court documents in an attempt to safeguard her late son's assets, stating that because Michael had died without a wife or adult children, the family was legally empowered to take control of the estate, and asked that a special administrator be immediately appointed to oversee bank accounts and lucrative enterprises which were controlled by "unspecified third parties." Court documents also pointed out that at least one person was improperly claiming to have a power of attorney to act on Jackson's behalf (power of attorney ends at death).
Thereafter, Branca conveniently produced a highly questionable will, dated in 2002 with a signature said not to be Jackson's; his children's names were all wrong; and signed in Los Angeles on a day Jackson was in New York. Branca claimed that Michael Jackson had rehired him just 8 days before his death. However, when Jackson terminated Branca in 2003, he ordered the attorney to return the originals of all documents to his new attorney, and demanded Branca to never have anything to do with him, his business, his family, or his personal life again.
Katherine said she searched among Michael's things and couldn't find a copy of the alleged will, establishing the Michael Jackson Family Trust, and naming Branca executor of Jackson's estate with "full power of authority… to sell, lease, mortgage, pledge, exchange or otherwise dispose of the property, whether real or personal comprising my (Jackson's) estate, upon such terms as my Executors shall deem best …"
Jackson parents filed separate lawsuits challenging the validity of the will. upon learning that if she contested the will and lost, she would be disinherited, Katherine Jackson withdrew her suit. Shortly after, Joseph Jackson's challenge to the will was dismissed outright for lack of standing; in the opinion of the court, the father could not contest the validity of his son's will since he was not mentioned in it.
Now with free reign to act as it chooses, the first transaction of the Michael Jackson Family Trust was with Sony Music Entertainment, whereby an agreement was reached on a distribution deal that included the mega star's unreleased projects; his recordings, DVDs, video games and theater, which was said to be worth $250 million. Branca and John McCain, his co-executor, each earned a $2.5 million fee for their part in negotiating the deal with Sony. The Michael Jackson Family Trust executor said of the deal, "We and Sony feel that the future for Michael Jackson is unlimited."
"We think the recordings will always be an important part of the estate," Branca said, "new generations of kids are discovering Michael … A lot of people that went to see 'This Is It' were families. 'This Is It' was one of the few American films allowed into China. So we think there are growing and untapped markets for Michael's music."
In the nine months since his death, according to Billboard, 31 million copies of Michael's albums were sold as well.
"There are also audio rights for theatre, movies, computer games," Branca announced to the media. "I don't know how an audio soundtrack will be used in 2017, but you've got to bet on Michael Jackson in any new platform."
